Two Greek brothers, George and Nick, understood that fast quality food is what’s most important in bringing family and friends together.
How they recreated high quality diner food in Johnie’s Jr is the flame of a real charbroil grill. Cooking specially ordered meats on an open flame grill makes all the difference compared to generic fast food chains.
The original Johnie’s Coffee Shop on Wilshire and Fairfax in Los Angeles and Johnie’s Broiler on Firestone in Downey, established George’s authentic passion for American Diner cuisine. Running from 1980-200, Johnie’s Coffee Shop was the foundation of the George’s vision to open up Johnie’s Jr Broiler in the city of La Palma in 1990.
Being family run, George and Nick’s families devoted themselves to developing the finest quality quick service restaurant experience in the quaint city of La Palma.
Today, Johnie's Jr. has earned the reputation as being authentic, dependable, and having high quality food. Our extensive line of breakfast plates, burgers, sandwiches, dinner plates and overall fresh food, ultimately bringing together impeccable tastes and flavors, are perfect any time of the day.

Buttermilk Pancakes
Two homemade buttermilk pancakes served with butter and high grade maple syrup. You can make it a combo with 2 eggs and 2 real bacon or sausage links.
Bacon Breakfast Burrito
Wrapped in a specially ordered flour tortilla are 2 eggs, golden hash browns, house shredded cheese and Homemade Pico de Gallo Salsa.
Huevos Rancheros
Homemade Ranchero Sauce topped over 2 eggs over a freshly crisped tortilla served with golden hash browns, homemade refried beans, and tortillas or toast.
Western Omelette
3 eggs cooked to perfection omelette style with house cut ham, onions and bell peppers. Served with golden hash browns and choice of toast: white, wheat, rye, sourdough or English muffin.
The “JJ”
The perfect breakfast sandwich. 1 fried egg with American sliced cheese, your choice of bacon or sausage, served on a grilled English muffin.

4 homemade buttermilk pancakes served with 2 eggs cooked to your liking and 4 strips of real bacon or sausage links.
Fat Boy
A Charbroiled Double Cheeseburger with leaf lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, pickles and Homemade Thousand Island dressing on a fresh seedless bun.
Double 1/4lb. Bacon Cheeseburger
2 quarter pound charbroiled Hamburger patties with 2 strips of real bacon, American sliced cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and Homemade Thousand Island dressing on a fresh sesame seed bun.
Chili Cheese Fries
Perfectly crisped golden French fries topped with Homemade Chili and House shredded Cheddar and Jack Cheese. There are no beans in our chili giving you the full experience of the hearty homemade ground beef in our recipe.
Chicken Melt
House marinated, high quality, chicken breast that is charbroiled and put on grilled Sourdough bread with Swiss cheese and 2 strips of real bacon.
Club House
A triple stacked sandwich made with fresh deli cut turkey with 3 strips of real bacon, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato on 3 pieces of your choice of toast: white, wheat, rye or Sourdough.
